Hi:) Many in the music community in Music City believe that “it all begins with a song.” That is one of the mottos of the Nashville Songwriters Association International. One artist who believes those words in Georgia-born singer Matt Kennon. He has witnessed the impact of those words first-hand, with the success of his debut BamaJam single, “The Call.”

“It was a true blessing to have the ability to channel that song,” he says of the tune, which deals with three different potentially life-changing situations. “I really believe that song came from the Good Lord. It was put on my heart to write a song that I thought could touch other people. I know that there have been times in my life where I have been flat on my back, and had several friends, Good Samaritians, and family members that helped get me back on my feet. With this song, that’s what we wanted to do. We took some real-life situations, and my co-writers, Noah Gordon and Jeremy Campbell got in a room, and it was very therapeutic for us to talk about that stuff, and we came up with the song.
