Tiësto and BLK JKS Collaborate

Hi:) Superstar Dutch DJ Tiësto has teamed up with South African rock band BLK JKS to create a new track, “Dreaming.” The song is only available for download through the Facebook page of Smirnoff, who is sponsoring a live music event in Johannesburg on May 15 called Mashup Street. The concert, which Tiësto will headline, is part of the Smirnoff Experience, a series of music events being staged around the world in such cities as Moscow, Paris, New York, and most recently, Berlin.

For “Dreaming,” Tiësto created the backing tracks while BLK JKS provided the vocals. “Over the past year, I’ve done several collaborations with artists from a variety of genres, but have never worked with an artist from South Africa,” Tiësto stated. “I was excited by the opportunity to work with an act like BLK JKS, who are influenced by their South African roots, but also have some dance music sensibility.”
