JANUARY BEAUTY BLOGGER

Kicking off 2012 as the January Beauty Blogger is Charlotte from Beauty Ramblings. Charlotte is 19 and from the UK, she has a self proclaimed beauty obsession which definitely shows through in her blog! She blogs about beauty, fashion, nails, makeup, hair and has some really helpful tips and tricks. I personally found her advice on curling hair to be really helpful! Her blog is super entertaining and I love reading what she has to say because she's so funny and has such a sweet personality! I asked Charlotte some questions about makeup, fashion, being a beauty blogger and New Years so keep reading to hear her responses!

What inspired you to begin blogging?

- I'd been watching youtube beauty "gurus" for about two years and I'd been reading beauty blogs for about 6 months but was too nervous to start my own blog. One day I just thought well it's not like anyone will read it so I started up the blog and made my first blogpost!

How would you describe the clothes you wear?

- I usually spend most of my money on make-up/beauty products so I've never really been that into fashion but since working in retail I've loved buying more fashion magazines and reading blogs which are very fashion orientated. I wear what I feel comfortable in so cosy knitwear, pretty blouses and always a dress for a night out!

How would you describe your makeup style?

- The most important part of my make-up routine, for me, is eyeshadow. I wear a nuder lip and toned down cheeks so I can get away with wearing a lot of eyeshadow and I loveeeeeee playing around with eyeshadows and if you've read my blog you can see my eyeshadow addiction is pretty clear for all to see haha! I love neutral shadows such as taupes, bronzes, golds and copper shades. I'm very self-concious about my skin as I suffer with acne so I always wear heavy foundation which is a bit of a chore to apply in the morning.

When you're not blogging, what do you enjoy doing with your time?

- I love shopping and could spend all day in town with regular shopping breaks at Starbucks! ;) I also like dancing, watching tennis and Formula One.

Beauty products you couldn't live without and why?

- This is so hard to choose a few! Definitely concealer, MAC "Studio Finish" is my absolute favourite as it covers absolutely anything. I also love a good, lengthening mascara and a moisturising lip balm such as "Blistex" as I suffer from chapped lips.

New Years Resolutions

- Take up a new hobby, either join the gym or go to zumba classes, go to more blogger events and worry less! Spend more time baking and less time being lazy ;)

DECEMBER BEAUTY BLOGGER

This month Ash from Pretty Pisces is the December Beauty Blogger. Ashley's Blog is truley amazing with great and honest reviews, helpful tips, inspiring makeup and nail looks as well as some really interesting personal tags and updates. I asked her a couple of questions about makeup, fashion, being a beauty blogger and christmas so keep reading to see her responses!

 

What inspired you to begin blogging?
I got inspired by watching some of the Beauty Gurus on YouTube. I really wanted to do videos, but I had a sub par camera so blogging filled my void! [PS I am going to start vlogging soon, so look out for those!]

How would you describe the clothes you wear?
I have a very comfy cute sense of style. I love lace and "romantic" type pieces as well.

How would you describe your makeup style?
I love color! I rarely reach for browns unless I'm putting it in my crease. I don't have crazy makeup though, because I feel it can look tacky. My favorite colors to wear are teals and greens.

When your not blogging, what do you enjoy doing with your time?
I'm either working, spending time with my boyfriend, or traveling to see friends!! I sleep and read in between all those things too lol.

Beauty products you couldnt live without and why?
My Wet N Wild I Heart Matte palette: I use that palette with every single look I do! It's so versatile and makes my eye looks much easier! I also couldn't live without my Maybelline Eye Studio pencil liner: It's the top pencil liner in my opinion and much better than the high end brands!

What is your favourite thing about Christmas? I just love the spirit of Christmas! The songs, colder weather, family all coming to my grandma's house and eating good lol. I really love everything!

NOVEMBER BEAUTY BLOGGER

This month Grace from "Smile Couture" is the November Beauty Blogger. Grace blog consists of great fashion, advice, series (including seven on Saturday) and much more so check it out to get some really good fashion tips and tricks.

What inspired you to begin blogging?
I actually read an article in Teen Vogue about teen fashion bloggers, and I thought they looked ridiculous. I wanted to offer a fresh perspective of dressing classically cute and showing polished style for girls of all ages! I think that dressing should be about feeling and looking good, and not just about trying to make a "statement" or wearing runway trends that aren't necessarily flattering on you.

How would you describe the clothes you wear?
I would describe my clothing style as New England prep adapted to my life in the Midwest, with whimsical and feminine touches that suit my personality. Sort of Ralph Lauren meets Kate Spade! I love to be the girl who looks super put-together and dresses cute. My style is more subtle than some fashion bloggers, but my friends recognize that I do step things up a little more than most people because I like to look nice.

How would you describe your makeup style?
I like to keep it natural, but still have fun. I love experimenting with bright lip gloss and lipstick, and pretty much strive for a pretty, glowy look. I think it's important to illustrate your personality through makeup, so I try to convey an upbeat and feminine, yet tried-and-true classic look on my face.

When your not blogging, what do you enjoy doing with your time? I recently joined a rowing team, and I absolutely love getting the exercise and have met a ton of great girls through it! I also love spending time with my friends at the mall, movies, and each others houses. Lastly, my school requires service hours, but it's really made me realize how much I love volunteering.

Beauty products you couldn't live without and why? Benefit's Boing is a miracle worker for zits and undereye circles! I also love their High Beam highlighter, because it gives you that perky glow on days with 5 hours of sleep! My favorite mascara, Maybelline's Great Lash, is simply fantastic, and I love the Anastasia Brow Beauty Express Kit to get that thick, dark eyebrow look I love!

OCTOBER BEAUTY BLOGGER

So i am starting a new series on my blog where every month a beauty blogger is featured to answer a set of questions. This month Gaby from "Gaby's Beauty Blog" is the October Beauty Blogger. Gaby is 22 and lives in Canada. Gaby's blog consists of OOTD's, FOTD's, Reviews, Tutorials and much more so check it out to get some really good beauty tips and tricks.

Here is an insight into Gaby and her view on blogging, beauty, fashion and makeup.

 What inspired you to begin blogging?
I was reading a magazine when I stumbled on an article featuring a beauty blogger. I was curious as I was new to the blogosphere and never knew such a thing as beauty blogs existed! I went to check out her blog, which led me to search for more beauty blogs. I made a list of some favorites and started reading them daily. In those days, I had a personal blog on Skyrock (it was super trendy back in the days!) but I was getting bored of all the drama (it was just a popularity contest) so I decided to start a beauty blog.

How would you describe the clothes you wear?

In one word: boring! LOL! Seriously, I don't know, I don't have a specific style, I just wear what I like. I'm currently in love with jeggings - it's the best of both world! I tend to be lazy and go for a tank with a cardi most of the time.

How would you describe your makeup style?

Boring, too? =P I tend to stick to neutrals and I know which colors compliment me best. I love brown, gold, bronze and taupe eyeshadows but I also enjoy bright colors such as blue and purple - but only if they are very dark (much more wearable!) As for lips, I'm still pretty new to lipsticks as my lips are constantly dry and chapped because of eczema, but I really love MAC lipstick (how original, I know!) I tend to play it safe again and stick to pale pink or nude shades.

When you're not blogging, what do you enjoy doing with your time?
Honestly, with school and work, I don't have a lot of free time! I would be doing homework, reading books (I currently really enjoy chick lit) or magazines, or hanging out with friends.

Beauty products you couldn't live without and why?
Mascara, definitely! My lashes are short, sparse and straight - without mascara, they are invisible! I would also have to say moisturizer because my skin is constantly dry because of eczema, oh and also, lipbalm!
